TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and services provided by Pelican Mobile Valeting (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”, “your”).

By making a booking with Pelican Mobile Valeting, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Bookings

1.1 All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once we have agreed the date, time and service with you.

1.2 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking where circumstances prevent us from safely or reasonably carrying out the service.

1.3 Please provide accurate information when booking, including the vehicle make/model, location and condition of the vehicle.

1.4 If the vehicle is significantly larger, dirtier or in a substantially different condition from that described at the time of booking, the quoted price may need to be amended. We will discuss any additional charge with you before carrying out additional work.

2. Prices and Payment

2.1 Prices will be confirmed at the time of booking wherever possible.

2.2 Payment is due on completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in advance.

2.3 We accept the payment methods communicated at the time of booking.

2.4 Additional charges may apply for services or work that were not included in the original booking.

2.5 Where additional work is required, we will seek your agreement before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.

3. Cancellation and Rescheduling

3.1 We understand that plans can change. Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment.

3.2 Repeated cancellations, late cancellations or no-shows may require payment in advance for future bookings.

3.3 If we need to cancel or rearrange your appointment due to weather, illness, vehicle/equipment problems or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will offer an alternative appointment where possible.

4. Weather and Working Conditions

4.1 As a mobile valeting business, some services may be affected by adverse weather conditions.

4.2 We may postpone or cancel a service where weather conditions make it unsafe or impractical to carry out the work to an acceptable standard.

4.3 Where possible, we will contact you as soon as we know that an appointment needs to be rearranged.

4.4 Some services may require suitable shelter, such as a garage, particularly during heavy rain, extreme temperatures or other unsuitable conditions.

5. Access to the Vehicle

5.1 You are responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is accessible at the agreed appointment time.

5.2 Where required for the booked service, you must provide reasonable access to the vehicle, including access to all relevant areas that are to be cleaned.

5.3 If we are unable to access the vehicle or the location is unsuitable for the service, the appointment will need to be rearranged.

6. Water and Electricity

6.1 In some instances access to a water supply or electricity may be required and will be agreed on before booking, you must provide suitable access unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in advance. Access to a suitable water supply and electricity is always greatly appreciated where available.

6.2 If you are unsure whether your location is suitable for a mobile valet, please contact us before booking.

7. Vehicle Condition

7.1 We will take reasonable care when working on your vehicle.

7.2 Some stains, odours, marks, scratches, contamination or damage may be permanent or may require specialist treatment beyond the service booked.

7.3 We cannot guarantee the complete removal of stains, odours, pet hair, mould, tar, tree sap, paint contamination or other difficult contaminants.

7.4 Older, heavily worn or damaged interior materials may be more susceptible to damage during cleaning. We will use reasonable care, but cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing deterioration or damage that becomes apparent during the cleaning process.

7.5 We may refuse to carry out a particular treatment if we reasonably believe it could cause damage to the vehicle.

8. Pre-existing Damage

8.1 You remain responsible for any pre-existing damage, defects or deterioration to the vehicle.

9.1 Please remove valuables and personal belongings from the vehicle before the appointment.

9.2 Pelican Mobile Valeting cannot accept responsibility for personal belongings left inside the vehicle unless loss or damage is caused by our proven negligence.

9.3 We may move small items where necessary to clean the vehicle, but we are not responsible for the location of items that have been moved during the service. To allow us to clean all areas of your vehicle thoroughly, any loose personal items may be placed safely in a bag during the valet. Please remove any valuable or important belongings before our arrival.

10. Valeting Results

10.1 We aim to provide a high-quality service, but results can vary depending on the age, condition and materials of the vehicle.

10.2 A valet is intended to clean and improve the vehicle; it does not necessarily restore it to a new or showroom condition.

10.3 Certain specialist services, such as paint correction, stain removal or odour treatment, may require separate assessment and quotation.

11. Damage and Liability

11.1 We will take reasonable care of your vehicle while it is in our possession and while we are carrying out the agreed service.

11.2 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

11.3 We are not responsible for damage that was pre-existing, caused by defective or deteriorated vehicle components, or caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

11.4 If you believe that we have caused damage to your vehicle, please notify us as soon as possible and, where possible, before the vehicle is driven or further work is carried out on it.

12. Complaints

12.1 We want every customer to be completely satisfied with the service we provide. At the end of each valet, we will take the time to discuss the work carried out, explain what has been completed, and answer any questions you may have.

12.2 If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to investigate and, where appropriate, put the matter right.

12.3 Complaints should preferably be made within 48 hours of completion of the service, particularly where the complaint relates to the quality of cleaning.
